One of the best ways to improve your skills and your portfolio is to challenge yourself.

I won’t waste your time with a lengthy intro, let’s get straight into it. Here are 5 writing challenges you can take to improve your skills.

Write A 50k word Story

This will take the most time but writing a story of this length is a good portfolio. Better still, it’s great practice if you want to write a novel one day.

It’s longer than a Novella but shorter than proper novels. A nice middle ground for a challenge but not enough to burn you out.

If that’s too much for now, writing for an Audiobook is a bit easier.
